Fairport NEU Solutions designed and built this positive pressure conveying system and associated processes for pharmaceuticals. The system conveys crystalline powders from a blow tank, in a semi-sterile area, to a liquid filled mixing vessel, in a sterile area. It's use allows each area to operate separately and hygienically. The blow tank, fitted with load cells, is automatically charged with kegs of material up to a specific weight. The system is designed to minimise product hold-up and wastage. It also allows easy and rapid cleaning by both manual and CIP methods, prior to the transfer of a different batch.
