Blackpool Tower & Piers have been maintained and refurbished by Fairport since the 1990’s. This has also included the three yearly strip down of the Big Wheel and the installation of amusement rides on the piers after suitable strengthening works have been undertaken. The works generally have included such activities as the replacement of lattice girders and deck support steel as well as the renewal of timber decking and repairs to piles and support bracing.
